College Access
Students who have completed a four-year high school educational program from the Chicago Public School System are guaranteed admission to the City Colleges of Chicago.
CCC Assesses Your Skills
You will be tested and placed in courses appropriate for your skill level. Our assessment program will also determine whether remedial assistance is required or advanced placement is warranted. If you have an ACT score that is less than two years old, you may be able to bypass placement exams.
How Do I Apply?
To take advantage of Chicago College Access, you must complete this admission form and bring it to Kennedy-King College.

College Excel
College Excel Program affords high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to enroll in City Colleges of Chicago career programs while still in high school and earn high school and college credit.
Some programs also provide basic industry certification. Students may then enter employment with a basic certificate for a specific occupation from their college. Students can continue their studies while working, and earn their Associate of Applied Science Degree.
How does a student enroll?
High school students who take the City Colleges test and place at the college level may register for courses in a set of pre-approved career programs at any of the City Colleges of Chicago.
How much college/high school credit can a student receive?
Participating high school students will receive both high school credit and up to six semester hours of CCC credit per semester. Students who begin the College Excel Program in their junior year and continue their college education in the summer may complete as much as one year of college by the time they graduate from high school.
What is the cost to the student of the College Excel Program?
There is no cost to the student to participate in the College Excel Program.

College Tech Prep
The College Tech Prep Program was developed to respond to the nation's growing need for skilled workers in high-tech, high wage occupations by sequencing the curriculum of high school students and college occupational programs.
What future does the College Tech prep Program give students? With the Tech Prep Program, your educational and career options are kept open. Tech Prep Program at the City Colleges of Chicago transfers completely to a baccalaureate program at a four-year college or university.
