Transfer Students: Students transferring credits to Kennedy-King College from another college (including other City Colleges) or university, must complete the following steps:

The Transfer Center assists students in transferring to four year colleges and universities to earn their Bachelor's degrees after they leave Kennedy-King College. Students interested in transferring to a traditional college or university may stop by the Transfer Center in Room W102. Staff in the Center can provide you with transfer information and referrals. The center is equipped with a library stocked with catalogs from other schools including admission applications, (both in Illinois and out-of state).
The Center also maintains a file of transfer agreements and transfer guides with area colleges. You can also meet with transfer admissions representatives from senior institutions to discuss the transfer process. They visit Kennedy-King College throughout the school year. These representatives will give you advice on what courses to take that will satisfy the requirements of both schools. The Transfer Center has a library of DVDs and CDs from four-year colleges/universities throughout the country with an overview of each school.

Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI)
Model for CCC Transfer Degrees and General Education
City Colleges of Chicago participates in the Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI) which is a comprehensive statewide effort among more than 100 colleges and universities in Illinois to ease the transfer of students. IAI became effective for students entering a participating college or university as first time freshmen the Summer of 1998. Benefits for students are:
Students who complete the A.A. or A.S. degree, and who meet the admission requirements of the IAI participating baccalaureate degree granting institution to which they transfer, will have completed the lower division general education requirements for an associate or baccalaureate degree in lieu of the receiving institution's general education requirements.
