![]() | Admissions and Registration Applicants Must Be:
Students are encouraged to begin the admissions/enrollment process four to eight weeks prior to the beginning of classes. Prospective students should report to the Admissions Office to do the following:
Students who are admitted without a high school diploma or GED certificate and who may be eligible to receive financial aid are held to federal regulations for "Ability to Benefit". Please refer to the Student Policy Manual for additional information (available on line at http://www.ccc.edu/studentpolicy). DRUG TESTING GUIDELINES FOR CONSTRUCTION PROGRAMS All students shall be subject to drug testing at a medical laboratory certified to conduct such testing by the National Institute for Drug Abuse. No applicant for enrollment in a construction training program offered by the college including but not limited to: carpentry, plumbing and fire protection, cement masonry, bricklaying or welding shall be admitted to the program if the drug screen reveals the presence of illegal or non-prescribed controlled substances. Students must also be prepared to pass a random drug test prior to the completion of their program. If the drug screen reveals the presence of illegal or non-prescribed controlled substances, the student shall be expelled from the program. All construction training students seeking job placement assistance from the college shall submit to a drug test prior to receiving a job referral to an employer.
