Financial Aid &
Scholarship Assistance
Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:30AM - 5:00PM.
Dawson Technical Institute makes every effort to help trainees who
need financial assistance to pursue their education. Assistance
available to eligible trainees include grants, scholarships and
part-time employment; the trainee's assistance "package" may include
some or all of these types. Grants (based on financial need) and
scholarships (awards for academic achievement or talent) do not have
to be repaid.
Eligibility
Requirements Financial Need
Financial "need" is the difference between the cost of attending
Dawson Technical Institute and the amount the trainee's family can
reasonably be expected to contribute. This contribution is computed on
the basis of documented income and other related information (i.e.,
size of family) which every applicant for financial assistance must
provide. Dawson Technical Institute upholds the principle that the
primary responsibility for financing shills training lies first with
the trainee. When the total resources the trainee can provide do not
meet expenses, the Institute, as a third party, will assist the
trainer. with completing and processing financial assistance
applications.
