The following are tuition, fees, and charges adopted by the Board of Trustees of Community College district No 508, which operates the City Colleges of Chicago. Any and all charges are subject to change at any time by the Board of Trustees.
All tuition, fees, and charges are payable at the time of registration.
Payment may be made by cash, checks, money orders, or third party
voucher made payable to Dawson Technical Institute.
Third party checks are accepted at the discretion of the Business office.
Tuition
In District (Resident of Chicago)
$67.00 per credit hour; there is an additional fee to cover
text books, instructional supplies, and lab fees.
Out of District (Resident of Illinois, but not Chicago)
The out-of-district tuition rate is determined annually. For Academic Year 2005-06, the rate is $95.65 per credit hour, payable in addition to the in-district rate of $67.00 for a total of $162.65 per credit hour.
Out of State (Non Resident of Illinois)
The out-of-state tuition rate is determined annually. For Academic Year 2005-06 the rate is $199.20 per credit hour, payable in addition to the in-district rate of $67.00 for a total of $266.20 per credit hour.
Non-Refundable Fee
Activity: $100.00 Full-time Credit (12 credits or more)
$50.00 Part-time Credit (less than 12 credits)
Registration: $25.00
Partial Payment: $25.00
Transcript Charge
Each trainee is entitled to one free transcript. A $5.00
charge shall be applied for each additional transcript. Transcript
for same day service can be obtained for a $10.00 charge. Personal
checks not accepted for same day service.
NSF Fee
An NSF fee of $25.00 will be assessed for any check returned
for non sufficient funds (NSF) or stop payment check. A trainee,
who has ever given the City Colleges of Chicago either a NSF or
stop payment check will not be allowed to make any subsequent
payment by check at any of the Chicago City Colleges. Consult
the respective college business office fir details.
