Career Programs
Specialized courses for students who intend to enter immediate employment or upgrade their professional and technical skills. We offer courses in Business, Computer Technology, Culinary Arts, Media, Theater, Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Automotive Technology, Visual Communications, Dental Hygiene, Nursing, Child Development, Mental Health, and Addiction Studies. Students can earn an Associate of Applied Science Degree or a Certificate of Completion.
Automotive Technology

Prepares students for careers as technicians, collision repair, service representatives, middle managers, or self-employment in all major automotive systems and automotive body areas. |
Media Communications

Child Development

Prepares students for a career in teaching preschool education, working with infants and toddlers, or as a teacher’s assistant. The AAS Degree program has NAEYC Accreditation (National Association for Education of the Young Child). |
Dental Hygiene

Provides students specialized educational, clinical, and therapeutic services training for work in the preventive oral healthcare industry as a Dental Hygienist. The program is ADA CERTIFIED (Accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association). |
Visual Communications

Provides students an opportunity to develop skills in graphic design, website development, television and internet graphics, motion graphics, print, and press operation. |
Heating, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration

Provides students with skills in the design, selection, maintenance, testing, and installation of residential and commercial air conditioning, refrigeration and heating systems. Students receive practical skills proficiency on a Johnson Controls system. |
Nursing

Theater

Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment

Addiction Studies/Mental Health

Prepares the student for a career in Social Work or as a Counselor in treatment centers, governmental agencies, and school. The program is accredited by IODAPCA (Illinois Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Professional Certification). |
