Your degree may symbolize many things to you. It may have been the stepping stone to personal independence or the entry to a four year institution or the catalyst to a rewarding career. Kennedy-King College is named after Robert Kennedy and Martin L. King, Jr. The accomplishments of these two leaders changed America and how it views education, politics, civil rights, and world-wide humanitarianism. Martin L. King, Jr. once said, “I have a dream.” Robert Kennedy once said, “Only those who dare to fail greatly can achieve greatly.” From the days of Wilson Junior College to today’s Kennedy King, our idea is to dare to dream to become one of the greatest institutions of higher learning in the country.

The New Kennedy-King College Campus
These are sketches of the new Kennedy King college. It is located at 63rd & Halsted. This site was selected because of the vast acreage and because it remains true to KKC’s commitment to bringing world-class education to the inner city. The school was designed by Johnson & Lee, a firm dedicated to excellence.
There was a wonderful groundbreaking ceremony in November 2005. The 40-acre campus is now complete. The new campus has six buildings: academic, applied science, library, culinary and theater, athletics and student services, and a day-care center.
The library, bookstore, restaurant, athletic facilities and day-care center will be open to the public. Also, WYCC-TV and WKKC-Radio has broadcast centers on the new site. There is a clock tower that is reminiscent of the architectural structure of other well-known college campuses. In addition to 800 parking spaces, the campus is mass transit friendly. Two train lines and a bus route run right to the campus.
Excited? Everyone should be, especially alumni. Kennedy King College wants the alumni to consider this new campus their home as well… we welcome input and participation in the festivities and ongoing programs that will benefit new students and alumni alike.
