My wife and I finally made it to the Parrot, and we should have tried it much sooner! I decided on the muscles with Asian noodles in a coconut and curry sauce as a starter. IT WAS DIVINE! My wife had a very nice butternut squash soup for her first dish, which she loved! My entree was the Peking duck, served over a small salad with pomegranates and a duck sauce...delectable! My wife's entree was the falafel-crusted Salmon, which was wonderfully seasoned to perfection. We shared an apple tart w/vanilla bean ice cream for desert.
The atmosphere was just as wonderful as the food. The dining room has an unobstructed view of the lake, so be sure to request a seat by the window. The décor was very beautiful…very tasteful…retro, but modern. I love the fact that the Cultural Center is so close to my house!
My wife and I will return as often as we can. It’s an absolute gem.
